Job Description:

G11n QA needs to provide sufficient Functionality Verification Testing (FVT) to HPSW localized products to ensure the localized version behaves the same with the English ones, also to verify all GUI and messages are appropriately translated, layout is correct, no English string, no garbage character or truncation.

The QA needs to work with multiple teams under multiple cultures across the world in a virtual team. He/she is responsible for performing a whole life cycle testing to the localized products based on each project/product's character.



Main Responsibilities:

· Deep knowledge in complex component, area within a product, technology

· Develop new methodologies/ techniques, conduct mentoring, provide training, and leverage knowledge within the team and to development

· Understand software internalization and localization concepts especially localization testing focus areas.

· Ability to define an automation project need and accompany to project as a consultant

· Execute tests cross the product (exceeding the team's boundaries), capable of utilizing few testing, monitoring and emulation tools for the tests execution

· Be able to manage the G11n testing project independently during different phases. E.g. planning, execution, monitoring and closing




Qualifications:

Required:


· BS/MS in Computer Science or related work experience

· 5+ years in software industry including participation in a few enterprise-class projects

· Solid testing or development experiences, be familiar with testing process and product development life cycle.

· Familiar with Database such as Oracle, SQL Server and/or PL/SQL.

· Proficient in Windows and UNIX OS (HP-UX, Solaris, Linux) administration.

· Proficient in Network domain, familiar with network device management software testing or developing

· Strong automation testing skills

· Fluent communication in both written and oral English

· Strong analytical skill and effective problem solving ability, problem prone.

· Responsible, flexible and enthusiastic

· Ability to work independently

· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills , a good team player

· Willing to work under pressure and comfortable of working with teams located in various countries

· Quick learner, with ability to understand complex systems thoroughly and to change them efficiently



Preferred:

· Familiar with 2 or more automation testing tools

· In depth understanding to I18n and l10n concepts, have i18n or L10n testing experiences.

· Software development and debugging experience (C, C++, Visual C++, Java, XML) on Windows and UNIX environments (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Tru64, Linux), having developer experience is a big plus.

· HPSW product knowledge and experience

· Project management experience
