Research Developer (R&D)
? Stay at the forefront of fashion trends
? Ensure our production partners know our customers
? Create exciting and attractive materials and components
In the H&M Production organization we transform design ideas into actual products. We ensure that we produce safe products for our customers and remain in the forefront of sustainability.
As an R&D, your main objectives will be to apply understanding of H&M trends, customers and concepts to identify the right suppliers’. You will also need to coordinate our Product Developer to identify and develop new material (including fabrics, yarn, components)/treatment/trims.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be kept busy and engaged through a wide range of tasks. Primarily you will need to:
? Apply understanding of H&M trends, customers and concepts to identify the right suppliers’ capabilities and skills
? Identify & develop new material (including fabrics, yarn, components)/treatment/trims
? Drive the developments to ensure best options, qualities, prices and lead time
? Work closely with the Material team and Innovation team regarding new material, the season’s materials, etc.
? Regularly communicate to identify supplier strengths, and give and receive feedback to improve performance
Who will you work with?
In this role you will join a dynamic and energetic team based in Shanghai. You will report to the Senior Merchandiser and interact regularly with Merchandising, Developers, Materials, external suppliers, as well as your colleagues based both locally and across the Globe.
