DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description
The Solutions Architect is responsible for supporting the Sales &
Account Management teams by gaining a deeper understanding of a
Customer’s situation and then propose innovative solutions to improve
service performance and TCO. They will also be involved with running
internal / external “whiteboard sessions” to help identify appropriate
processes and solutions.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:
* Working with the Product Teams, Craft winning innovative customer
specific solutions with speed and efficiency
* Propose and/or design Customer technical solutions, which include
creating demos and proofs of concept with Innovative Solutions.
* Extensive Knowledgeable in Forward supply chain & Warehouse
Distribution solutions. Reverse Logistics is a plus.
* Provide consistent feedback from the market to Product Management and
Development teams and coordinate gaps between product functionality and
customer requirements
* Process model the Customer specific solution, understanding flows,
volumes, etc; interface with other areas of Flex to obtain the data
required.
* Ensure that all technical and business requirements of the customer /
prospect are clearly understood, and be able to articulate how our
solutions can meet them
* High level of Project Mgmt experience and Financial
acumen to ensure knowledge and Best Practice transfer throughout the
organization
* Ensure effective transitions (new customer introductions and exits)
by working closely with the ops team and setting up a transition GAM
support team.
* Establish a world class Sales Architect practice to help GSS attain
its objectives
* Solve customers' business issues with GSS technology, brainstorming
with cross functional teams on technical propositions to enhance
customer value add.
Job Requirements:
* Process engineering and Supply Chain design experience and Operations
or Engineering management, specific to services (10yrs)
* Finance knowledge and market research experience (working experience
with research firms)
* Experience working with major logistics firms regionally/globally,
Electronic ODM/OEM’s and consultancy firms
* Good technical writing skills
* Professional services experience, working with clients on solution
design
* Travel 40% global travel
Preferences:
* Operations or Engineering management (P&L management) with
process engineering and Supply Chain design experience, specific to
services (10yrs +)
* Global Account Management background and/or Account execute
sponsor (2yrs)
* Finance knowledge and market research experience (working experience
with research firms)
* Experience working with major logistics firms regionally/globally,
Electronic ODM/OEM’s and consultancy firms
* Professional services experience, working with clients on solution
design
* Global travel up to 50%
