Job Description:
The Client Care Coordinator who works to serve as a liaison between children/families and other services provided by Olivia’s Place. They provide a wide range of services, depending on the needs and expectations of each individual and family, including making schedules for clients, clients’ follow-ups, and support for children and families as needed and relevant to their professional training and abilities.
Responsibilities
As a Client Care Coordinator at Olivia’s Place you will be responsible for the following:
- Respond to client inquiries and educate them on services, policies and procedures at Olivia’s Place.
- To assess client’s needs and facilitate the intake process and scheduling of assessments and further appointments as necessary.
- Seek to promote best practice in coordinating with appropriate clinical staff to provide individualized child/family plan and meet the unique situational and cultural needs of each client.
- To assist clients with any follow up or review plans made by clinicians.
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients by responding to client inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
- Assist Supervisor/Manager with any new initiatives or special projects
- Maintain communication logs, treatment records, progress reports, and discharge reports of clients in an appropriate, timely and effective manner.
- Participate as an active member of an interdisciplinary team, seeking advice as appropriate.
- To participate in the in-house professional development program and demonstrate commitment to your own professional development via online courses, professional journals and the like.
- Maintain awareness of latest developments in field and share information with other team members.
- As appropriate to work for the benefit of the local community and promote the development of the profession within China.
- Adhere to the confidentiality policy and demonstrate best practice in this regard.
- To have a practical knowledge of information technology skills and data inputting.
- Provide and maintain a clean, organized, and attractive work environment.
- Observe safety precautions and keep equipment and materials in good condition.
- Use time and materials in a cost effective manner.
- A commitment to excellence in all endeavours.
Person Specification
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- At least 3 year (full time equivalent) of post-qualification work experience.
- Good spoken and written in both English and Mandarin.
- Good computer skills.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, or in an early intervention or school based practice.
- Experience working within diverse populations.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to work with parents and staff in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Able to take responsibility for ones actions.
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, non-verbal).
