Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to work with GMIO Market Operations to accurately consolidate, summarize, and report monthly sales volumes and short-term forecasts. Within this area, the candidate is responsible to organize monthly share drive folders/files, update data storage files, summarize fleet sales, answer requests for sales updates, set up forecast templates, and coordinate monthly reminders and sales meetings. The Sales and Forecasting Analyst will need good written and verbal communication skills, as well as, a very good understanding of Excel and PPT to effectively complete the areas of responsibility for this position.
Areas of Responsibility
Collection of Weekly/Monthly retail and fleet sales, inventory, and key market drivers for sales results
Track distribution lists for demand files, maintain template, and train Market ops. Collect inputs monthly
Maintain and update an accurate excel database tracking market level sales and forecast updates
Use demand file inputs to load an excel based report generation file
Send meeting invitations, open meeting lines, and maintain contacts lists for monthly sales calls
Support Key Markets on a quarterly basis, research market dynamics and present to sales ops team
Monitor GM official sales data in GSRA system and maintain accurate records of data files
Perform data analysis and project support for Budget volumes
Track, collect, and submit fleet reports to manager and fleet team
Support creation of materials related to special requests/projects
Knowledge:
Familiar with auto industry and auto business. Beneficial to have an understanding of sales reporting and forecasting methods.
Skills:
Must have excellent skills in Excel, PPT, Adobe, written/verbal communication (esp. English). Good to have skill in Photoshop, Excel programing.
Experience/Education:
At least 1 to 2 years of professional corporate experience or education equivalent (MS/MBA) - preferred, in automotive/ managerial fields.
