IWAY Auditor - Environmental & Social Compliance Auditor

Introduction

The IKEA Trading organization forms a link between the factory floor of suppliers and the products in the IKEA store. Trading's main role is to find purchasing possibilities for IKEA products at the most competitive price meeting Quality demands, delivery performance and securing social and environment compliance . This requires Trading to constantly scan for new suppliers, look for new production possibilities and evaluate new materials to achieve the best possible price for the end customer!

Assignment
(Description of main tasks and responsibilities)

This position is to reinforce the competence on implementation of IKEA business system applications.

• Conduct Factory Audits, according to local legislation & Ikea's Code of Conduct on Environmental & Social issues
• Follow up corrective actions
• Provide training, consultation and development activities at suppliers

Specific Competence

(The knowledge, motivation and capability to handle all situations/activities the assignment requires)

• 2 years or above working experience in environment/social auditing
• Good knowledge of local laws/regulations and management system pertaining to environment, Healthy & safety and social responsibility.
• Familiar with ISO9000/ISO14000/OHSAS 18000/SA8000 or other equivalent systems
• Field operator with ability to organize, set priorities and work unsupervised
• Knowledge of production process in factory; Working experience in production units;
• Good communication and audit skills
• Good at observing, analyzing and reporting
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Responsible work attitude
• Interact well with team members; Ability to work with and through others;
• Willing to keep learning for continuous improvement
• Be free to travel at a weekly base
• Strong interest/believe in Social and Environmental field.
• Personality (Decisive, Curiosity, Firm)
• A good fit with Ikea Value and strong business ethics is an important base.
• Experience of participating S&E project
