Strong desire to continue to develop personal skill set in a proactive environment - Ability to exercise sound judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Handle customer issues over the telephone on a daily basis
- Provide customer feedback on their issues as they are progressed
- Ensure customer satisfaction through professionalism and swift resolution
- Recreate problems in house and Provide evidence where bug fixes are required
Position Requirements:
- Must have good working knowledge of Windows OS
- Strong customer relations skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
- Multi-task capable with strong time management skills
- Technical experience in the following areas is required:
- Mastery level knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and its components.
- Experience of troubleshooting via the event logs, understanding how to acquire crash dumps and application dumps, making registry changes, and understanding windows firewall.
- Networking and troubleshooting connectivity, name resolution, and performance based issues with OS and/or hardware.
- Understanding of Windows clusters, with installing and configuring software (desirable)
- Experience troubleshooting using application log files.
- Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly MS SQL
- Basic programming skill
- Basic sql query skills
- ESX experience
Technical experience in any of the following areas is desirable:
- Good understanding of Network concepts.
- DNS,DHCP & Active Directory.
- SQL native backups and restores.
- SAN, NAS, RAID, Tape etc…
- Previous experience with Backup software such as Commvault, Veritas, or
Legato. - Understanding of backup theory and design.
