Translator- Japanese (m/f)

As Translator - Japanese you will support our division Translation Management in presenting high-quality hotel description texts in Japanese on our website.

The texts should reflect the style and atmosphere as well as location of the hotels as far as possible to ensure that they can be found in common search engines and also to inspire users to book hotels on www.hrs.cn, www.hrs.com, www.hrs.de

The TASKS of this post are as follows:

• You will be responsible for translations based in our HRS office in Shanghai, China
• Translate optimised hotel description texts from English and /or Chinese into Japanese whilst adhering to pre-defined SEO criteria
• In close cooperation with the personnel of the Translation Team in the Cologne headquarters, you will help us achieve our goal of increasing the number of high-quality hotel descriptions as quickly as possible.

We are looking for someone with the following SPECIFICATIONS to take up this challenging position:

• You will be a native speaker of Japanese and have an excellent knowledge of English, Chinese fluency is of advantage
• You will have successfully completed a degree in languages or completed similar professional training
• You will already have experience in translation and ideally you will be able to demonstrate professional experience in the field of Project Management of translations and Personnel Management
• You will have organisational skills and demonstrate that you are capable of working autonomously, accurately and using structured working methods
• You will have good working knowledge of MS Office and be confident carrying out online research; ideally you will have experience in the area of translation tools
• Of course you will have good writing skills in terms of style and orthography
• You will be a team player who is also capable of working independently and autonomously
