1. General
Area of responsibility : SW Test Engineer
Superior : SW Test Supervisor
Location : Wuxi
2. Main objectives
SW Test engineer shall, assigned by the SW Test Supervisor, deliver qualified software and test documents into the projects (POI, NPI, PIP), according to agreed plans with responsible persons in the projects (R&D usually led by Validation responsible). Target is to utilize the SW test knowledge to perform SW tests and deliver test documents in accordance to the appointed product, with the correct quality, in correct and planned time, meeting the different cost targets.
3. Areas of responsibility
? To test the SW of the product in terms of complete SW functionality, input and output characteristics.
? Set up test tool requirements and needs in a project.
? Design and maintain software test environment.
? Assist software engineer to analyse test results.
? Ensure that a safe development process are applied and that the end-product is safe.
? Secure that the SW tests performed meets the agreed requirements.
? Escalate deviations to SW Test Supervisor and project responsible.
? Report working hours spent on different projects.
4. Personal tasks
? Set test plans for SW testing
? Review system-, SW requirement specifications
? Create SW test specifications
? Create SW test reports
? Perform SW and SW integration tests.
? Participate in benchmarking activities.
5. Main challenges
? To create SW test cases and tests that fully meets a complete requirement test coverage.
? To set a correct need of which test tools are needed within a project.
? To continuously gain knowledge within the areas of responsibilities, products, processes and tools, and to stay updated regarding best practices within appropriate technology fields.
? To support and encourage the compliance to company quality standards and other quality requirements.
? To develop new SW test environment and test methods.
6. Competence profile (ideal)
Education:
? University degree in, master or bachelor, software engineering, computer since and technology, or equivalent.
Experience and skills:
? Experience within SW design or testing, preferably within technology areas with similarities to the actual position, automotive safety product experience preferred.
? Have the knowledge and SW development experience of 16bit/32bit MCU, Familiar with the MCU of TI、ST、Microchip, it would be better if familiar with MCU of Freescale.
? Skillful of C and C++, familiar with Assembly language.
? Familiar with CAN, UDS and Bootloader.
? Familiar with CANoe, and VTestsudio, Caple language.
? Fluent knowledge in English, spoken and written.
? General knowledge of development processes, methods, and tools.
? Good general skills in handling computers using typical office tools.
? Personal qualities appropriate for working in a test team, analytic, structured, good communicative skills and able to take initiatives.
