Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree, - Engineering or Business Management with a minimum of 5 years experience in Strategic Sourcing in a manufacturing company;

* Experience in International Sourcing is required;

* Experience in contract language/writing;

* Self-motivator who works effectively in team or independent work environments;

* Ability to identify and implement cost savings and process improvements

* Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to present results clearly and compellingly

* Ability to negotiation and influence others;

* Solid skill set in Excel, Access, Word and Powerpoint

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

* Be familiar with PCB, Transformers, Switch, Wiring harness, connectors, cables and various electrical components

Responsibilities:

* Supports global commodity strategies by identifying sources and sourcing components to meet company objectives and global manufacturing facilities.

* Liaison with US & Australian Sourcing teams to develop and localize components into China supply base

* Proactively manages company exposure to local commodity markets and provides visibility to the impact of market moves on company financial performance

* Understands and effectively communicates China business trends and drivers that include technology and business footprints of the components

* Determines best cost sources of supply from in-country possibilities

* Manages ongoing relationships with suppliers to support/enhance material strategies;

* Conducts strategic contract negotiations and establishes purchasing agreements against which the plants will release specific program requirements

* Ensures suppliers are meeting corporate delivery and inventory targets;

* Provides sourcing support for all New Product Introduction (NPI) requests;

* Develops plans to meet annual cost reduction targets;

* Continually looks for continuous process improvements within the procurement function to maximize ordering efficiency, optimize communication and maintain data integrity

* Work closely with vendor on both process improvement and quality problems. eg. Provide recommendation on changes to tooling for forging etc.
