1. General description

Position: Quality Engineer
Area of responsibility: Kongsberg Wuxi
Superior: Quality Manager Kongsberg, Wuxi
Locations: Wuxi, China
Subordinates:Inspector

2. Main objectives

Achieve short and long-term objective regarding quality assurance and maintain quality management system via daily routine job to achieve customer satisfaction.

3. Main responsibility

? To be part of new introduced program team, support team to achieve established objectives. Meanwhile, supervise the program going under right quality guidelines by reviewing developing gates.
? Prepare PPAP documentation in terms of customer requirements, and push relevant departments to accomplish their tasks to ensure on time submission.
? Be in charge of MSA, SPC before program is going into SOP stage to guarantee a safe launch. Control plan owned.
? Deal with customer complaints, leading cross-function team to act quick reaction and resolve quality issues to meet customer satisfactory.
? Implement product audit & process audit to prevent any variation occurring.
? Focus on top quality issues with actions for continuous improvement; be driven to achieve zero defect finality.
? Provide trainings if needed to related departments to let involvers know what quality standards are.
? Quality management system maintenance associated with TS 16949 principals.
? Product Improvement Process involvement.
? Other tasks that superior assigns.

5. Competence profile (idealistic)

? Education/ Knowledge: College/ University degree
Be familiar with 5 tools
TS 16949 required
Control plan / FMEA involved
Problems solving skills with 8D / PDCA / 5W / 5C etc.

            
                                               
? Practical experience
 PPAP prepare experience
Manufacturing and quality environment required
Minimum 3 year of experience in quality management position in the automotive industry.

? Skills requirements:
Ability to communicate in English both oral & written
Logical thinking and skilful communication
Strict & fast execution for established goals is essential
Stick to quality mentality and no compromise to challenges
Certificate of TS16949
Knowledge of ISO14001
