Job title: Higher Education Sales Executive
Line manager:
Higher Education Sales Manager, China
Location: Beijing or Shanghai
Purpose of the role:
· To expand Higher Education business in mainland China market
Need to do
Key tasks:
· Visit universities and schools regularly to secure business opportunities both for print and digital products
· Establish/maintain good relationship with import dealers and distributors
· Work closely with line manager to achieve annual sales target
· Contribute to territory and China yearly financial planning process and to meet all financial targets
· Work with CS team to offer high-quality services to both dealers and end-users
· Cooperate with colleagues from other product lines or departments to complete cross-division tasks
Key relationships:
· Proactively develop relationship with external clients including institutions, faculty members, academic coordinators, and textbook importers;
· Constant communication with line manager, functional supporting team in China/Asia, and product team in UK headquarters.
Need to know
Qualifications:
· Bachelor/Master degree from reputable universities
Skills/knowledge:
· Good IT/MS Office skills
· Good teamwork spirit
· Highly self-motivated, can work under pressure
· Strong skills in written and oral communication in English
· Good negotiating and interpersonal communication skills
Experience:
· At least 2-year sales experience with evidence of success, Education related industry is preferable
· Having higher education/school products sales and marketing experience is preferable
· Demonstrable evidence of goal/target-oriented, self-motivated, independent decision-making and team working is essential
· Ability to communicate & present professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences, in both fluent mandarin Chinese and English is essential
