Major Job Responsibilities:
? Responsible for the design and development of industrial measurement products
? Work with a team of highly qualified engineers to generate the overall design concept for the mechanical system as well as the detailed design of the mechanical components which include plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers
? Apply sound engineering knowledge in the development of the products to meet stringent specifications
? Ability to express technical matters adequately both orally and in writing

Qualifications
? A bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
? Minimum 5-6 yrs experience in product design/development
? Experience of handheld devices design, measurement related products design experiences are added advantage
? Ability to utilize latest CAD tools such as Pro/Engineer
? Knowledge of Pro-E modeling by incorporating design intent is absolutely necessary.
? Extensive hands-on product development experience, from conceptualization to prototyping, test and verification, and manufacturing at pilot and mass production levels
? Demonstrated use of statistical tools in design selection, failure predictions, design optimization, problem solving, root cause analysis and verifications at all stages of product development. Utilization of Six Sigma tools in product development will be an advantage.
? Experience and knowledge in injection molding/casting/sheet metal tools are required and mastering them are added advantage.
? Critical thinking and strong technical fundamental are required to make an effective technical decision.
? Knowledge of IEC61010 standard will be an advantage
? Good English
