Role Summary/Purpose:
As a chemist, you will work with a team of engineers at China DDC that will require chemistry background particularly in the area of analytical, environmental science or material synthesis to support new products development.
Essential Responsibilities

You will work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to develop and implement novel analytical techniques to characterize water quality process analyzer and develop new chemistry for environmental pollutants detection.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Develop and/or implement analytical methods for characterization and development of process instruments.
- Develop and/or implement chemistry methods for new products develop in water quality analysis industry.
- Participate in research programs at DDC that require chemistry recipe develop expertise.
- Effectively communicate to other engineers to provide consultation, written reports, and verbal presentations describing methods, analytical data, and interpretation of results.
- Maintain and provide support for the analytical instrumentation in the lab.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Masters in Chemistry/Environmental Science or PhD in Chemistry/ Environmental Science with years of research experience. The experience must include training, education, and hands on lab experience in analytical chemistry or environmental science.
- Demonstrated experience working in a chemical or materials laboratory and conducting critical experiments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently carry out experimental or analytical methods after seeking guidance from team members or project leader.
- Strong analytical, experimental, failure analysis, and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and computer interfacing to analytical equipment.
- Expertise in the operation, calibration, repair and maintenance of analysis instrumentation.


Desired Characteristics
- Expertise in sample preparation techniques for instrumental analysis. Design of fixtures, sample supports, etc.
- Strong problem solving skills in the area of thermodynamics, kinetics, material synthesis, and sample characterization.
- Technical leadership capabilities with excellent teaming skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
