1. GENERAL SUMMARY

Design,and implement embedded software for market leading network test products. Perform a diversity of software engineering design and development tasks and related assignments. May assume project responsibility involving planning, scheduling, costs and coordinating the activities related to the development and completion of the project.

2. PRIMARY FUNCTION / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

? Conduct preliminary analysis of design objectives to define optimum design criteria and operating characteristics of products.
? Design and implement software in accordance with design criteria and performance objectives.
? Modify existing software to adapt it to new hardware and improve the performance.
? Develop software system testing and validation procedures, responsible for functional tests of software and hardware/software systems.
? Prepare proposals and work schedules to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
? Responsible for the preparation of software documentation and test procedures.
? Consult with customers, other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues.
? Perform other related design assignments as required.

3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
? BSEE/CE/CS +4 yrs. related experience in software engineering.
? Fully proficient in C/C++ development.
? Leading experience in embedded systems development, experience in UI development is a big plus.
? Experience with WiFi product development, knowledge in WiFi protocols.
? Fully understanding of layer 2 (Ethernet/WiFi), layer 3(IPv4/v6) and above networking protocols.
? Expertise with software development and debug environments.
? Expertise with hardware debug such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer.
? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
? Knowledge in real-time Operation System, experience in FreeRTOS is a plus.
? Excellent communication skills, both within the team, and across the organization.
? Fluent in written and oral English.
