Title:
· Sourcing Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:
· Support the project manager who is responsible for the projects success.
· Drive and participate in new supplier evaluation and key supplier rating.
· Build potential supplier database and update continually
· Follow up all activities for a sourcing project status as required, such as RFQs, sample runs, pre-production, mass production stages.
· Negotiations with suppliers (i.e. Price adjusting , Lead time and NDA, General Purchasing Agreement etc.)
· Clarification off all technical documents between BU and the supplier, Translation of technical document if necessary.
· Utilizes the Altra Business System to solve creatively problems and improve the processes under which the office operates.
· Visit suppliers as needed to maintain relationships and performance.


Desired Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or related area.
· Solid sourcing experience and strong communication skills
· Minimum 3 years experience in design or manufacturing of industrial products, preferably in the power transmission field
· Good written and spoken English
· Effective problem-solver and strong sense of urgency
· Business travel is necessary.
