Report to: Business Support Team Section Manager

Description of Position:
1. The Electronic Component Standardization Engineer will join the Technology Standardization Management organization (Asia Pacific Region) Business Support Team, the engineer will take charge of the power supply related technology (linear voltage regulator, switching voltage regulator, supply voltage supervisor, voltage reference, DC/DC converter etc) first, and will have opportunity to develop expertise in other technology according to business need and the engineer’s potential.
2. The engineer will work closely with other standardization leaders or standardization engineers in France and US, the engineer will support the R&D designers in Asia Pacific region (China, Singapore, Australia, India, Japan, etc), and the engineer may have to participate to national or international travels in Schneider R&D centers, Manufacturing plants or Suppliers.

Responsibility:
1. Provide technical support to Asia-Pacific R&D teams for the electric component selection, application, quality issue and risk analysis etc, furthermore propose risk mitigation plan, alternative solution etc.
2. Contribute and Promote technical rules and best practices related to electronics component by writing design guidelines / directives or making presentation among entities.
3. Follow the evolutions of supplier offers and technology trend on the market, Prospect suppliers offer and roadmap in order to identify new solutions for our products.
4. Contribute to the definition of the global purchasing strategy.
5. Manage the corporate component database.
6. Support and contribute to the corporate technology standardization project.

Requirement:
1. Educational Background: Bachelor Degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering etc.
2. Bachelor with 5+ years or Master with 3+ years of successful experience as Electronics Component Engineer, Electronic Design Engineer or Field Application Engineer related to power supply design, component of power supplier technology is preferred.
3. Solid knowledge of topology of switching mode power supply design (PFC, buck, boost, full bridge, half bridge, fly-back, forward etc) and linear power supply; Solid knowledge of power supply related IC/transformer/inductor/capacitor/discrete components etc. Good Knowledge of other passive components/discrete semiconductors/IC/ ASIC/ LCD Displayer etc will be a strong plus.
4. Solid Knowledge of the worldwide market, suppliers and technology trend of power supply design related components.
5. International experience is preferred (study or work experience abroad).
6. Excellent communications skills, including written and spoken English.
7. Ability to work efficiently as part of a worldwide and international team.
