Principal Web Engineer-SDP Page and Shipping Consolidation Tribe

Who We Are?
Redwood(SDP Page and Shipping Consolidation Tribe) is responsible for front pages like Detail Page, Shipping Consolidation Page, Vendor Fund Promotion page. We are one of the most important team in Coupang and working on the most important page. We end to end own the page from front to backend, covers PC, mobile web, Android and iOS platform. We at the very front to serve our customer by providing the best user experiences with high performance and rich user friendly functions. We always put customer as our first priority and earn trust with our grand design and humanistic interaction.
Our mission is to ensure to provide accurate and useful information to customer to help them make purchase decision and easy their shopping experiences which help us earn the customer trust.
We built up the Detail Page to help user find the detail information of the product as well as provide other customized recommendation to customer; we design Shipping Consolidation Page to aim to help customer use less money the purchase more products; we create Vendor Fund Promotion page to provide customer the way to join the vendor promotion and obtain best price products.
How We Do?
Coupang is a test driven company. In SDP Page and Shipping Consolidation Tribe, we use data as the weapon to analysis the customer experiences and user pain points, apply A/B test as a tool to validate the innovations and user engagement. We not develop and release feature because we ‘think’ it is good, we use metric and fact to prove.
We provide consistence key functions across the platform and improve the experiences by respecting the differential of the platform based behavior. We work as an engineer but think like a customer. We apply new scalable framework and tool not just because they are new and cool, the final goal of each technical and business innovation is customer impact.
The SDP Page and Shipping Consolidation tribe is a true blending group with UI, Backend, android and iOS develop talents. We are not only follow business direction to design and develop, we also focus on technical innovation by introducing new tools and framework to ensure our system stability, scalability and high availability, at the same time, we extremely pursue to provide best performance experiences to customer. In our tribe we have 3 team, SDP Page team focus on the core business area; Core Front Team is more focus on the front tech research/apply and user experiences innovation; Core Backend Team is focus on the server stabilization, latency improvement and system reliability.
Responsibilities:
● Act as the architect/technical leader of an agile team throughout the software development life cycle
● Collaboration with product owners, stakeholders and designers to implement enhancements or new applications
● Lead the team to design and develop the code to meet story acceptance criteria
● Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
● Ensure adherence to continuous improvement practices as required to meet quality/time to market imperatives;
● Design the common front code convention and share best practices and improve processes within and across agile teams, and mentor more junior developers
● Recruit and coach other members of the agile team
● Improve the user experience and usability of the e-Commerce website
● Design and implement the UI based on the UI wireframe from designer and ensure the effect of development result
● Design the scalable front architecture

Qualifications:
● Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or related
● At least 8 years’ experience in Web frontend development
● Have deep understanding of browser internal mechanism
● Experience with Object oriented programming and expert in JavaScript
● Deep understanding of MVC/MVP/MVVM etc design pattern
● Extensive experiences in different UI framework like Handlebar, ReactJS, requireJS, AngularJS...etc.
● Extensive experiences in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/LESS
● Extensive experiences in tuning the front performance and have visible result example.
● Experiences in designing and implementing the modular design.
● Must be able to make the design trade off with best suitable framework and tool.
● Good knowledge about network, front cache, HTTP/2 and RESTful specification
● Must have mobile web development experience
● Good command of written & spoken English, Korean is a plus 举报 分享
