JOB PURPOSE:  

Primary person deal with daily production demands loaded in ERP system. Production buyer should work closely with Commodity manager make ERP data clear & accruate(LT; price; supplier etc.). Following daily purchase metrics to ensure finally delivery KPIs meet target.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SUCCESS METRICS:   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

? Ensure all items with demand been timely maintained purchase data in ERP 

? Following process monitoring release PO status(PO confirmation; re-confirmation; reschedule etc.) to ensure finally achieve delivery target

? Working with CM; Purhcase TL even SCM resolve critical late PO.

? Conduct delivery & price related activies  (NC noticification, OTR analye, PPV analyze) 

? Support & drive improvement on commodity team’s delivery KPI.

? Utilize cost models to ensure pricing for new items is accurate & reasonable

? Excecute quoting process: RFQ, obtain quote from supplier, perform quote analysis, price negotiation,etc.

? Acting as communication channel of Husky engineer team & supplier. Forward drawing& implement Engineering change, ensure suppliers always get latest drawing

? Working with GSC working capacitical team manage following activities: obsolescence;  forecasting &SS order ;cancellation etc.

? Identify opportunities for cost reduction, and identify risks and opportunities for supplier cost reductions

? Negotiate with suppliers

? Proficient in computer applications (ERP, MS Office) and able to conduct data analysis 

? Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components is referred.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:  

Engineering Degree preferred; other College / University credentials may also be accepted

RELATED EXPERIENCE:  

? 1-2 years purchasing experience

? Thorough understanding of purchasing and sourcing processes

? Experience with ERP system or Baan IV and/or Baan LN an asset

? Internal: Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Production Control, Sales, Inventory/Warehouse, Operations team members

? External: Suppliers
