Overall Purpose of Job:
Responsible for the establishment and achievement of the sales strategy of the Industry BU in
China, including objectives achievement, resources planning, price policy within the region
DIMENSION:

Major Responsibilities:
-Organizational Framework
1. The incumbent is a key member of the worldwide sales and marketing group in order to achieve
the key objectives of the company in the BU Industry.
2. He/she is the leader of the business teams and has significant freedom to act in this position.
3. He/she must be capable of strategic decision making and is held accountable for the maximum
profitable growth of the business.
4. The incumbent not only develops the business strategy and tactics for the business, is also an
integral member of the team working hand in hand to accomplish everyday activities and long
term business goals.
- Principal and Results
1. Ensures the establishment, the development and the attainment of the sales plans and targets in
the product group for Industrial applications.
2. Recommends the most appreciated way of serving the Industrial market
3. Ensures pricing and price structures according the requirements of the budget and market prices
4. Ensures the best sales organization in the region throughout the area of responsibility.
5. Contributes to the resolution of organizational issues.
6. Responsible for sales to major customers in the Industrial application field as Industrial
companies, corresponding systematic components supplier
Ensures management and support of the action of sales and marketing managers.
7. Ensures that co-ordination of customers' technical expectations with R&D or TC is followed
up.
8. Ensures the promotion of Industrial products to the market through product and application
presentations together with his well established team.
9. Ensures the development of the personnel of his/her team to maximize their potential
- Major Activity
1. Establishes and co-ordinates sales and profitability targets.
2. Submits monthly written activity report, addressing current business activities, competitive
activity, and new product introduction customer information.
3. Maintains and monitors Industrial market in China needs and requests. Filters and prioritizes
requests.
4. Maintains and updates market intelligence of customer and competitor activities.
5. Advises his/her supervisor for all employment contracts and defines the training needs.
6. Leads and co-ordinates commercial activities of the Customer Development Managers and
defines their objectives.
7. Builds up relationships with customers in the Industrial market as Industrial owners, offshore
companies, potential shipyards and corresponding design institutes.
8. Defines product prices in relation to the market in China.

Education and Experience:
?? This position requires skills associated with an MBA or an equivalent degree in technical
engineering or commercial, with at least 10 years' experience in sales and marketing on
Industrial products and minimum 5 years' management experience
?? A strong technical background, good business judgment, completely understanding of the
company businesses is indispensable.
?? Fundamental is the ability to get along with people in the Industrial market at all levels of
responsibility
