General Job Description
This is a lab technician position. The candidate is expected to work full time in lab. The candidate will be reporting to a Ph.D. level scientist. The candidate will be doing process research and development works.

Professional requirement
The candidate should have a MS degree in organic chemistry, with 2+ years working experience in process research/development or large scale organic synthesis (or 5+ years of experience for BS). Experience in kilo-lab will be a plus. The candidate is expected to have proven record in problem solving in terms of publications and projects that were successfully completed. The candidate should be familiar with knowledge of modern synthetic organic chemistry. The candidate should be able to search database (SciFinder, Crossfire, etc.) to find methods to achieve organic transformations. The candidate must have good lab techniques. The candidate must be able to use modern analytical instruments, including but not limited to NMR, HPLC, LCMS, GC, TLC to analyze the experimental results. Candidate with strength in analytical instruments, computer, and software will be given extra consideration.

Language requirement
The candidate must be able to read English literatures and write experimental results in English. It is desirable that the candidate can speak English and can communicate professionally in English.

The candidate must be honest and conducting scientific research with utmost integrity. The candidate should be a highly motivated individual who can deliver high quality results in time. The candidate should be a team player and open to suggestions and critical feedbacks from supervisors and colleagues.

MS/BS degree in organic chemistry;
2+ years of process R&D or large scale organic synthesis experience for MS, 5+ years for BS;
Work experience in a kilo-lab will be a plus.
