Research associate/senior associate in cloning, expression and purification (CEP). We are seeking a motivated scientist in the area of molecular cloning, protein expression and purification. You will join the CEP&Biostructure group in technology platform in Roche pharma research and early development (pRED) China.
Your responsibilities are:
a) Carrying out molecular cloning to construct customized expression vectors.
b) Conducting protein expression and purification in multiple expression systems to support assay development and biostructure studies in early stage of drug discovery.
c) Contributing to drug discovery project as a member of multidisciplinary team. Interacting with group members in biostructure to design and conducting multiple constructs for structure studies.
d) Developing new methods in cloning, expression and purification based on literature.

Qualification:
Master’s degree with 3 years’ work experience/Bachelor’s degree with 6 years’ work experience in molecular biology, biochemistry or other related biological science areas. Industrial experience is a plus. Proficient in expression vector construction and protein expression. Experienced various purification techniques, such as affinity purification, SEC, HIC IEX chromatography. Motivated in research work in drug discovery. A strong interest in learning new techniques. Excellent communication skills and a team worker.
Preference will be given to candidates with additional training in assay development and structure biology.
