Mission:

The successful BD Manager VSP China is responsible for doing the market research, competition analysis, setting up the biz plans and strategies, and developing and establishing relationships with OEMs & Tier 1 suppliers in order to generate business development for the new product lines of VSP including Friction CV and Rail, Lighting and Chassis Parts in China.

This is a significant start up role and will require negotiation at the most senior levels amongst the automotive industry to expand the market penetration.

Responsibilities:

¨ Gain detailed understanding of the respective businesses, their markets, customers, competitors, opportunities and threats.

¨ Establish relationships with key customers, to maximize growth opportunities and negotiates profitable contracts.

¨ Understand the customer's business. Develops customer specific sales strategies and plans to implement and deliver new profitable products into the marketplace.

¨ Coordinate and execute an effective sales plan over a list of strategic accounts.

¨ Contribute to the biz plan and development strategy establishment, development of value proposition, sales pitch and other communications/tools

¨ Identify decision makers and key influencers within each strategic account and develop a network of business relationships that will support plans.

¨ Coordinate with biz leaders and technical experts in global HQs of each product line to indentify and set up the value proposition which will differentiate from competitions and bring higher customer values thus ensure a sustainable and profitable biz model in China OE market.

¨ Establishment of the business in China market; customer education and the adoption of the innovative business models which suit to China market.

Requirement:

¨ Education: University degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred.

¨ Possess a demonstrable track-record of successfully leading national business development teams in B2B customer facing roles, having strong experience in automotive or railway industry

¨ Experience in opening new markets with a proven track record of successful launching in China

¨ Demonstrated ability to work effectively within global organization

¨ Achieved results in a cross-cultural environment

¨ He/She must have an analytical approach, be an energetic leader, a relationship opener, team leader and player, decision maker and excellent communicator

¨ Act with a sense of urgency and achieve results quickly

¨ Detailed understanding of financial measures and KPIs. High level of analytical and problem solving skills

¨ Detailed understanding of Sales practices in the China market

¨ Experience in using and administering activity-based sales processes

¨ Adept at partnering in multiple levels of the customer organization.

¨ Strong in communication and presentation skills

¨ Flexible, organized and highly self-motivated

¨ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

¨ Strong organization, problem solving and time management skills

¨ Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
