Job Summary
 
The position will report to the Senior Finance and Operations Manager supporting the customer service function, general office administration, country travel management of a growing software sales and service business. The candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks, be reliable, punctual and possess good priority setting skills for both internal and external demands. They will have a supportive and business-focused attitude in dealing with customers, vendors and other MathWorks operations. Internally, they will support varied requests and prioritize items for coordinating the daily operational flow. They will be able to take direction on projects and be self-directed on administrative duties in support and cooperation with several departments as well as with other MathWorks offices throughout Asia and with the corporate office in the U.S.
 
Responsibilities
?Manage Customer Service request.
?Facilitate the travel request and maintain the periodic reporting of the travel function in support of worldwide guidelines for management review.
?Manage multiple daily office requests at all levels as well as reception of customers and visitors as needed.
?Tax declaration including individual income tax, enterprise income tax and other taxes as needed. Liaison with Shanghai tax authorities for any tax inquiries and investigations.
?Participate in meetings and projects for customer service, travel, training administration and office support etc. as needed for a sales and services organization
?Being the back up of customers' training coordinator.
?Support the finance and operations team from time to time in varied tasks such as inventory, filing, collections, documentation, typing etc
 
Minimum Qualifications
?A bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional work experience is required.

Additional Qualifications
? College degree required – Commerce, Economics, or Business a plus
? Prior experience or knowledge with general office admin functions.
? Prior experience of handling direct customer inquiries both via phone and email
? Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
? Strong planning, organizational and follow-through skills.
? A willingness to work extended hours at times to coordinate visits and off-hour business items.
?Ability of work independently
?Prior experience of tax matters is a plus
?Language skill with Japanese or Korean is strong plus
