Mission
The GPS (Group Performance System) reporting system (SAP BPC solution) is the key component for the legal and operational reporting of the Atlas Copco Group. As part of the legal reporting, Atlas Copco committed to send out their data each quarter to the stock market. Failing to do so would have a major impact on the value of the stocks and thus the GPS system needs to be considered the most critical system inside Atlas Copco.
The mission of the GPS Application Support team is to secure and improve the overall quality, efficiency and availability of Atlas Copco’s GPS. The team is expected to safeguard operation of the reporting platform while supporting the functional team’s 2nd level escalations. Tasks within the 2nd level problem resolution are handled directly while 3rd level problem management usually involves cooperation with strategic partners of Atlas Copco and the GPS Development team.
Team members assist with creation of long term strategies and capacity planning by ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date and in line with the business needs. Partnering with other service teams is the key to troubleshoot and improve the overall performance and stability of the infrastructure.
Job description
- Take ownership of assigned open tasks, ranging from simple one-off actions to small scale projects. Ensure deadlines are met and quality of the solutions delivered meets the expectations.
- Work together with the internal customer as well as software and infrastructure vendors to support regular functional and technical maintenance activities in accordance with agreed schedules.
- Closely monitor and ensure availability of the SAP BPC application during critical reporting periods, working hand in hand with the IT and Finance support teams in other regions Create, prepare and implement technical changes in the systems and keeping in line with change management procedures and policies.
- Proactively identify potential problem areas, performance bottlenecks, security risks and inefficiencies and propose improvements to the infrastructure (standardization, automation, and optimization).
- Ensure compliance of the infrastructure with the internal policies and guidelines.
- Create and document support procedures and follow & maintain existing ones.
- Producing required KPI Scorecards and Ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Provide support in key projects as needed.
Experience requirements
You must have a solid experience in IT (3+ years) and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. It’s required to apply, follow and improve the different processes that are in place and in line with ITIL.
Knowledge/Educational requirements
- MS Windows Server OS.
- Active Directory.
- Citrix XenApp infrastructure.
- Microsoft SQL Server and related components (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) or equivalent technology.
- SAP BPC or other BI systems is a plus.
- Microsoft PowerShell knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge in SAP BW/NetWeaver/HANA is a plus.
- Knowledge of C# programming and MVC is a plus.
- University degree in Information Technology or similar through experience.
- ITIL Foundations Certification is preferred.
- MCSE/MCITP/MCDBA or at least equivalent knowledge in selected areas are preferred.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must. Other languages are an asset.
