Job tittle: Senior Account Consultant
Location: Beijing
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for ensuring
business retention and developing existing customer portfolio with the
aim of maximising customer profitability. Actively involved in the
management of customer portfolios. Responsible for risk management and
act as key customer interface for the Company. The level of client
support is segmented in accordance with the client service required
profitability and potential. Key aspects are product delivery, risk
management and profitability.
This position will be based in
Beijing as the main correspondence for the company in the region,
reporting directly to the country manager. At least 3 months training
will be provided in Shanghai office. The candidate will take charge of
establishing Beijing office and maintain good relation with authorities
and partners.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Account Management
- Provide customer service and support
- Manage and support broker/agents relationships
- Development and retention of existing customer relations with the aim of maximising income growth
- Develop and manage strategic partners' relationship
- Identify and support development of business opportunities for additional services and products

Establish policy terms and conditions (including pricing and risk
assessment) to ensure profitability of portfolios: negotiate/manage out
poor performing policies as required
- Apply an understanding,
aligned to the appropriate competency level and business segment for
policy structures, country requirements, legal aspects and where
necessary, cultural sensitivities
Others
- Take lead to set up Beijing office, follow up and coordinate the whole registration process
- Maintain good relation with authorities, partners, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
General Profile
- Fully competent in own product and/or service area
- Acts within clearly defined product area on account(s)
- Likely to be involved in marketing activities; builds the annual plan in line with the strategy developed elsewhere
- Be responsible for account penetration and growth of sales of current and future
- Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance
- Manages assigned area/accounts
- May co-ordinate/supervise activities of individuals/the team/partners
Education & Work Experience
- Master degree in Finance, Business Management or, International Trade preferred
- 6+ years working experience in foreign-owned P&C insurance related entities
- Minimum 3 years experience in business managerial level
- Excellent English speaking and writing
- Good knowledge of PC application software
- Beijing resident preferred
