Position: Engineering Solutions Project Manager


Reports to: Manager, Global Engineering Solutions


Functional alignment: Global Engineering & Product Group Managers


Job location: Shanghai Xu hui district


Package:15K/M-20K/M

Role Description


The position will be responsible for managing engineering projects and providing support for engineering applications within Visteon. Primary focus of this position will be on initiatives within the AP region. Responsibilities include predicting and preventing any issues that may affect application availability or functionality, ensuring any issues/tickets that do arise are quickly resolved (within SLA timing), performing root-cause analysis on issues to enable future prevention, assisting in the development of work processes to ensure the proper and successful use of the applications, establishing a good working relationships with the business customers, interfacing with business customers for basic new requirements, performing basic application upgrades, and interfacing with GES project teams to ensure a smooth and successful transition to support after the deployment of new applications or new major versions.





Work Process Accountability


· Support of GES solutions, including the creation and execution of support plans


· Regional project management for GES global initiatives


· Application deployment, specifically meeting OEM demands


· Basic helpdesk queue management and maintenance


· Application status reporting & metrics


· Detection and reporting of changing customer requirements


· Establishment and maintenance of customer relationships


· Customer Satisfaction

· Customers Product Groups, Manufacturing Plants, Global Technical Centers,

· Complexity Factors Global Client Base, Across company Business Functions,


Complex IT Environment, Globally Distributed Support Team, Supporting Multiple Applications Simultaneously




Position Requirements (Skills & Experience)




· Knowledge of Engineering operations and business processes


· General understanding of Engineering software tools and technologies


· Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts with emphasis on Bill of Material Management and Change Management


· Expertise in one or more of the following areas –Bill of Material Management, Change Management, MCAD, MCAE, ECAD, ECAE, CASE, Systems Engineering


· Experience preferred in TeamCenter Enterprise, TeamCenter UA with some touch points to Catia, UG NX, DxDesigner, Expedition, DMS, IBM RTC, Nastran, Ansys, Hypermesh


· Excellent Skills in training and deploying new solutions especially in the PLM space


· Strong team player with ability to work with a multi cultural diverse workforce


· Excellent interpersonal skills


· Good administration, documentation, problem analysis, and customer relationship knowledge/skills.


· Leadership skills with ability to manage projects in a structured framework


· Experienced in use of standard, best-practice based methodologies and enabling tools


· Experienced in working in team environments and team management (staff and 3rd party) while developing effective working relationships with peers and management.


· 8+ years of IT/Engineering experience required with 3+ years as a support lead


· Education – BA or BS in relevant field and an advanced degree is desired
