The Field Sales role offers an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to build a business from the ground up, through focused efforts on client acquisition throughout the Chinese market. Building a solid corporate client base will require a team player with a proven track record in both sales and account management.
If selling and entrepreneurial undertakings are part of your DNA, then this is definitely an opportunity you want to consider.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Egencia China management team in marketing and client development efforts, owning both revenue and expenditure targets.
2. Drive Egencia’s local sales activities in China, from lead generation, to sales negotiation, to contracting and to maintaining active relationship after customers go live. The signed business should conform to Egencia’s business profile and be profitable in line with Egencia’s pricing schedules.
3. Support global sales bids with China component, especially when prospects need to be engaged locally.
4. Support China implementation activities and consulting projects when needed.
5. Support Egencia's sales efforts across the APAC region by working with local sales teams and partners to win regional opportunities.
6. Contribute to the development of Egencia Asia Pacific. Playing an active role in the broader Egencia Asia Pacific team, sharing knowledge, expertise and being willing to take on occasional projects as they emerge.
Criteria for Success:
? Can start, maintain and secure a client relationship culminating in a win
? Can adapt communication style and presentation technique depending on client
? Be sensitive to non verbal messaging and adapt accordingly e.g. resistance to change travel company provider
? Can search client opportunities through a variety of media sources
? Can close a sale
? Is driven by a strong desire to earn more money from winning
? Assist in implementation of new client wins
Skills/Competencies Required:
? Expertise in selling corporate service in China a must, corporate travel service is preferred
? Expertise in dealing with global/regional/local RFPs
? Good level of English both in written and verbal communication
? Strong commitment to the service of Egencia customers
? The successful candidate should be a self-starter, be able to excel in this role with minimum supervision.
? Adaptable to changes in business operations and accommodating changes
? Excellent problem solving skills. The successful candidate will be able to lead problem solving himself/herself and engage in constructive and rich joint problem solving sessions with the rest of the China team, the Asia Pacific Team and sales teams across Egencia
? Strong communications skills. The successful candidate will have
o Strong verbal communication skills
o Strong written communication skills, able to succinctly create documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint that are customer, partner and internal stakeholder ready
? The successful candidate should be a team player and be open to feedback
? Ability to demonstrate excellent selling and negotiation skills including experience of contracts and processes
? Outstanding time-management skills
? Flexible to adapt working style and hours to the changes in work volume
? Ability to travel as needed, primarily domestic China travel
