General Summary:
The Sr. Systems Engineer works for our customer, a world-wide famous theme park, office locates at East Nanjing Rd.
As part of a team responsible for planning and executing the integration of Internet based products and services for Parks & Resorts Online into a complex data center and network environment in an efficient, secure, scalable, reliable and cost effective manner.

Primary responsibilities include implementation and support for Internet based solutions developed for these business units. This includes any content delivery systems, hardware configuration, custom software implementation, database administration, network and systems design, performance and process improvement, and systems documentation.

The ideal candidate would be proficient in systems management and application deployment automation through authoring and maintenance of Ruby, Python, Perl, and shell scripting as well as experience implementing and maintaining enterprise configuration management solutions such as Chef. Experience will continuous integration pipeline development and support using tools like Bamboo will be essential.

This position is also responsible for planning and executing small-to-medium scale projects within the Technical Operations team. Typical projects would include new business unit initiatives and updates to existing products and services that require planning, incredible attention to detail, and flawless execution.
               
Major Areas of Accountability:
Describe the job function detail for major areas of responsibility, with what, how and why it is required for the group/unit. Include percentage of time spent (totaling 100%) and whether performed: (D) Daily, (W) Weekly, (M) Monthly or (A) Annually.

-Systems Administration and Support: executes day to day maintenance tasks including problem determination and resolution, as well as root-cause analysis. Responsible for responding to live site issues and for executing software, platform, and configuration changes. Daily(35%)

-Documentation: provides and maintains documentation of systems architecture, troubleshooting and support guidelines, system metrics, project information and plans. Weekly(5%)

-Systems Management: ensures the use of performance data and historical metrics to effectively plan for growth needs, plan upgrades, migrations, and optimizations, new implementations, identify and resolve efficiency issues, and improve functionality, apply scripting automation for repetitive tasks. Daily(25%)

-Product Testing: provides support for integration testing, system testing, and load testing prior to the final release of new and upgraded products and services. Monthly(<5%)

-Standards and Best Practices: participates in the development of best practices including capacity planning, monitoring, configuration, security, historical metrics, recovery strategies, and migration strategies. Responsible for validation of and adherence to these defined standards. Daily(10%)

-Configuration Management/Continuous Integration: Author, deploy, and maintain system, web site and application configuration management code and configuration. Development of CI pipeline workflow. Weekly(20%)

   
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
-Equivalent experience in technical operations or software engineering
-5 years+ of experience supporting and/or deploying internet-based products or services.
