职位描述

Summary
The Channel Marketing Specialist/Manager is responsible for; management and coordination of all MDF/co-op marketing programs for WD Branded Products in the China region; will work directly with WD Branded Distributors, Retailers, Etailers / DMR accounts and other channel partners to help drive demand within the given budget, and management of vendor(s) directly related to MDF/co-op efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Support Branded Sales Organization by implementing marketing programs & activities that will help achieve sales targets, volume, and market share
§ Create market pull for WD products both in general and for specific Branded products
§ Develop and maintain productive relationships with all channel partners and WD sales, product marketing, marcom, business operations, and PR staff
§ Develop bundles and joint marketing activities with other manufacturers to create value-added programs
§ Keep current with market conditions and competitive environment
§ Understand supply and demand by customer
§ Complete special projects, reports & analysis as needed
§ Measure and analyze ROI on all marketing events/activities
§ Provide weekly update and quarterly results to key WD personnel
§ Manage creation and placement of channel advertising when needed
§ Maintain clear & concise messaging that is consistent with all audiences
§ Insure constant WD visibility on all partner websites in concordance with WD logo & image usage guidelines
§ Create a comprehensive WD University Program as a platform for WD to communicate to WD channel partners
Take ownership of program to create tools, resources, programs for channel partners to return and use platform
Leverage this as a communication tool for channel partners across China
Expand current program to fit Branded objectives
Utilize Push/Pull tactics when possible using WD University
§ Work with Marcom department to insure consistent and accurate messaging is being published by Channel partners
New product launches
Channel advertisements
§ Develop effective marketing programs for Retailer, Distributor and etailer accounts in support of sales goals
Insure all programs are targeted to proper markets
§ Manage MDF / co-op budget to help drive customer demand
Pull programs for channel partners (distributors, retailers, etailers, and resellers) to promote sell thru
Program measurement, trends and ROI
Track MDF / co-op budget & spending

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
§ Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent. Must be technically literate and proficient
§ 4-8 years business experience. Involvement in marketing-oriented projects strongly preferred
§ Technology hardware industry experience preferred
Specific Knowledge
§ Aptitude to understand hard drive technology
§ Good knowledge of market research disciplines
§ Good knowledge of business plan disciplines

Computer, Software, Tools, Equipment, and Machinery Skills
§ Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel , MS Word and Outlook required,
§ Proficiency in adobe acrobat required
§ PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse/trackball, phone, fax, copier, stapler and calculator
§ Ability to use effective Internet/Intranet searches

Language Skills, able to:
§ Clearly communicate in verbal and written forms
§ Speak effectively one-on-one and in small group situations

Mathematical Skills, able to:
§ Plot Excel trend lines from market research data and use a best fit equation to forecast future periods
§ Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
§ Compute rate, ratio, and percents
§ Draw and interpret graphs
