SUMMARY
Perform routine duties required to manage the operation of the Shanghai facility. This includes all duties necessary to run the plant, coordinate and order parts and equipment, expedite materials to support customer shipping schedules and mange any light assembly operations. The position will involve routine clerical and inventory control duties, warehouse management, scheduling and production planning activities to support customer programs. The initial focus will be on the Subway Consolidation Program, small wares and assembly of Subway components and counters. Additional products will later be produced at the location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include:
1. Working with information provided by China and US customer service, contact suppliers and Duke USA to confirm that materials are scheduled to deliver in time to meet customer requirements (sales order forecasts and inventory levels).
2. Inspect and qualify vendor parts and products.
3. Expedite orders, working with the supplier contacts to decide best shipping method and other details required to assure on-time delivery.
4. Monitor orders for on-time deliveries and back orders.
5. Monitor various hand written and computer reports to order and expedite parts. Coordinate supplier returns as necessary.
6. Coordinate interplant transfers from the US and else ware.
7. Function as a backup to other members of the China team.
8. Schedule, manage and train production and warehouse personnel.
9. Ensure "best practice" in implemented in all operations, including Duke Safety and HR policies and procedures.
10. Ability to understand and utilize various office equipment including calculator, copier, fax, PC, work processor, computer terminal and typewriter.
11. Responsible for the factory warehouse.
12. Responsible for the facility to comply with local rules and regulations for safety and maintenance.

Education:
Degree in mechanical engineering with specialized training in manufacturing, warehousing, engineering or quality.

EXPERIENCE:
Three years (3) years of relevant industry experience.
Knowledge of the manufacturing environment
Use of a variety of office and quality systems
