Principal Test Engineer
Responsibility
1. Design testing procedure for electro-mechanical system.
2. Monitor CM to build Test Station which can fulfill Product Testing Requirement
3. Communicate with headquarter and contracted manufacturer to update/modify Test Station design as needed.
4. Control of design change in line with Company standard procedures.
5. Test, debug, validate and qualify Test Station for mass production
6. Conduct cost-benefit analyses of Test Station to determine the optimal direction to meet the design requirements.
7. Support project team to launch product on time and within budget.
Requirements:
1. BEng (Mech/EE/Mechatronic) or equivalent required; advanced degree is an advantage.
2. Minimum 8 years experience of electro/mechanical fixture design, and manufacturing of complex interrelated systems, including 3+ years experience developing high volume consumer products.
3. Expert knowledge of electro-mechanical Test Station.
4. Proficiency in Labview is an advantage.
5. Relevant experience in
a) Discrete analog circuit design such as motor driver circuit and battery charging.
b) Microcontroller-based digital system
c) High-volume/low-cost consumer product design and manufacturing experience.
d) Schematics and printed circuit board layout using EDA tools.
e) Infrared sensor design solution, WiFi application
f) Automation mechanism.
6. Experience with manufacturing practices, and communicating effectively with remotely located design and manufacturing partners.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
8. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
9. Frequently travel in China (Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan) and occasionally oversea travel are required.
10. Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese.
