JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: China Change Management Head
Reports to: VP, China
Subordinate: 1
Working location: Shanghai, China

Job Purpose:
  • Partnering with China Leadership to drive the long term securing of success and growth based on operational excellence with a foundation of truly engaged employees and leaders.
  • Lead the China business change program and strategic projects, focused on delivering improved long-term results and sustainable run-rate improvement in support of the organization’s profitable growth objectives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and facilitate the creation of long-term growth and profitability improvement strategies.
  2. Work cross-functionally with all peers and business leaders to identify and prioritize run-rate improvement opportunities to drive China market sharing increase from 45% to 55% throughout the organization, including but not limited to:
  3. Manufacturing plant overall maturity improvement and capacity utilization
  4. New Manufacturing footprint set up and overall manufacturing network optimization
  5. Platform Profitability continuous improvement
  6. Standardize, stabilize and improve process and systems
  7. Assign responsibility for execution of identified initiatives and projects to China Leadership team and Special Project Leaders.
  8. Review business cases for major initiatives/projects prior to approval to proceed to ensure alignment with Change Program goals and that they meet financial hurdles.
  9. Lead the special projects for overall China capacity improvement, such as JV technical center build up and enhancement.
  10. In charge of Global tooling China overall establish and development.
  11. Lead overall customer relationship management to drive both external and internal customer focus.
  12. Responsible for China board meeting arrangement and coordination.
  13. Ensure that leadership focus and energy on cost reduction and profitability improvement strategies is maintained at a high level and that the goals of the Change Program are being communicated/cascaded throughout the organization.
  14. Hold leadership team accountable for achieving Change Program goals, objectives and targets. Regularly review progress of overall Change Program and take actions as appropriate, together with leadership, to ensure that the Program remains on track.
  15. Establish methods to efficiently track and report savings opportunities at all levels of the organization and to ensure that these savings are being realized as soon as possible.


Requirements:
  1. At least 12 years of working experience as a consultant, in the areas of General Management, Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Finance. Experience in a globally renowned consultancy is an asset.
  2. Ability to analyze, identify and understand the significance of changes within the organization.
  3. Ability to structure projects and their deliverables to support organizational change.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills at management levels, in order to coach and influence others to move toward a common vision.
  5. Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  6. Knowledge and experience applying change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  7. Ability to speak across the organization and resolve potential issues with finesse and diplomacy.
  8. Fluent to native English communication level; speaking and written in Mandarin is a plus but not required.
  9. Self-motivated and the ability to initiate and complete projects without day-to-day guidance.
