职位描述：
Summary:
Shipment inspector to conduct final product inspections before container leading to insure product and packaging is in accordance with the engineering drawings, product specifications, product design and performance, and artwork, provided by each Genuine Parts Company subsidiary. Conduct or arrange testing to assure products meet specification. Perform ongoing on-site inspection of products at various vendor locations to ensure product quality prior to shipment at North America. Suggest quality and process improvements.

Service Scope:
- Be responsible for working directly with suppliers to monitoring quality and compliance of finished product.
- Be involved with continuous monitoring of supplier’s capabilities and assist with developing process improvements steps to proactively avoid any defects being shipped from their facility.
- Ensure product and packaging shipped by supplier meets GPC’s specifications and are well correlated to GPC’s requirements.
- On occasion be present to witness product production and to provide feedback on key failure modes of the supplier on site and proposed corrective actions.

The Successful Candidate will have:
- Understanding of PPE and or Cleaning Products.
- Ability to use various gages to correctly inspect a product.
- Proficient in MS Office software applications.
- Good communication skills. Ability to read and write English proficiently.
- Ability to travel domestically frequently.
Experience and Education:
- 3+ years technical experience with Bachelor in Polymer/Molding.
- 3+ years inspection related experience for PVC/PP/PE/PS/ABS items, knowledge of the component design or manufacturing for injection/blow/blister molding.
- Working knowledge of traditional manufacturing and quality disciplines.
- The ability to create 2D or 3D drawings based on samples is a plus. 举报 分享
