As a NOC Systems Administrator you are responsible for:

- Day-to-day health and uptime for StubHub environments.

- The development of the NOC Systems Administration team with regard to professional skills and responsibilities.

- Analyzing and maintaining service stability by creating and documenting troubleshooting instructions and best practices.

- Working closely with cross-functional teams to perform and document the troubleshooting processes and maintenance tasks.

- Working closely with the Release Engineers, and operational peers, to perform builds/releases and troubleshoot Dev environments issue.

- Identifying tactical issues and emerging areas of concern.

- Working closely with the corporate infrastructure team to support all business processes and infrastructure services.

ã?» Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation (escalations)

- 1 year system administration/engineering experience managing production UNIX (Solaris) / Linux / Windows systems.

- Experience managing 24x7, 4 9s of availability production infrastructure inco-located environments

- Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation (escalations)

- Must be willing to travel to domestic and international locations if it is required

- Understanding of best practices concepts, PCI compliance, change management, SLAs, policies, procedures, and design review driven standards.

- Knowledge and experience with Web services administration and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge and experience with tuning Alerts

- Knowledge and experience with VM.

- A seasoned, results-oriented individual with a focus on delivery.

- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

- Outstanding interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills

- Must be reliable and dependable, self motivated and willingness to learn and contribute to building successful NOC team

- Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to spot long term trends in production web environment

- Effective team player to be able to work closely with peers and other operations or engineering teams

- Experience setting up and managing various monitoring systems such as Cacti, MRTG, Splunk, or similar. Must have more than just a superficial knowledge of these systems.

- Strong background in trouble shooting large scale, high volume services with multiple dynamic components including web servers and Java application servers

- Good understanding of network concepts, TCP/IP stack and common Internet protocols

- Prior experience in a 24 x 7 Network Operations Center in a large scale Internet web site

- Knowledge of scripting languages required.

- Education: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
