Do you have a strategic mind, the ability to develop communication strategies, are comfortable working with marketing data to develop insights?

We are an international 4A agency with a fast growing business in China and are looking for a CRM/Planning Director to be part of the Management team.

Your role will be to lead the CRM strategy and planning in the agency.
You will be responsible for providing customer insights/trends/TA to the team, developing the customer contact strategy for acquisition and retention, as well as ensuring the correct metrics and processes are in place for each campaign

You need to have a strong strategic mind, but also detail orientated to ensure seamless implementation.
You need to be comfortable working with data and have a good understanding of how to develop 3rd party data acquisition strategies across mediums.

You may be in a similar role at another agency and looking for a new challenge or you may be an Account Director specialising in CRM, looking to move into a planning role.


Position Summary
> To lead the CRM division – a specialist division providing data insights and campaign planning services to JLR

Key Objectives of Role
> Drive the strategic business planning process in customer acquisition and retention, understanding and using all key data sources
> Be an expert on 3rd party data available in China to plan how to best contact our relevant prospect
> Establish a service offering, introducing an Applied Insights Practice to identify key sales and profit opportunities for clients
> Develop a Standard Metrics for all campaigns
> Grow and motivate a team of data analysts, planners and lead managers as the business requires

Day to Day Responsibilities
> Work with account team leading the development of data driven communications programmes
> Understand clients’ business issues and drive strategy across all channels and touchpoints
> Build relationships with management and staff (internal & external) in business areas associated with data planning work
> Manage client expectations and promote planning/analysis & research functions to clients
> Manage and resolve the key data strategy issues involving quality, consistency and growth across customer and prospecting databases
> Develop the skills and knowledge within other members of the CRM department
> Manage and co-ordinate network to report best practice case studies – build overall business case for work for clients. Liaise with other offices to ensure shared integrated learnings
> Interrogate syndicated research material to provide answers to briefs issued by senior planners or the account team
> Development of analytical product
> Ensure associated operational areas perform within agreed service level agreement
> Regular client communication; resolve client issues where they occur

Mandatory Requirements
> Understanding of the use of data-driven strategies to meet clients’ objectives
> Understanding of customer relationship management, marketing
> Knowledge of cost justification procedures
> Ability to co-ordinate multiple projects; Planning and goal setting
> Excellent problem solving skills
> Excellent presentation skills - written and oral communication
> Good inter-personal communication skills. Coaching and teaching skills
> Proven ability to build close client relationships
> Strategic thinker – able to go beyond client’s brief to provide holistic thinking to problems
> Proven track record in delighting clients by means of impeccable project management
> Meticulous attention to detail

Qualifications
> Graduate, preferably with a Marketing or Business Degree
> Proven track record of delivering insight driven strategy. Strategic consulting skills. Campaign management.
> Experienced at both qualitative and quantitative research programs within a commercial environment.
> 7+ years planning and research experience in a marketing or consulting environment
> Automotive experience an advantage but not a necessity
> 4+ years man management experience
