Detailed Description:
1. Sourcing support to JDM programs, Cable and connector
1.1. To understand :-
1.1.1. Commercial, technological & geographical needs.
1.1.2. Project roadmap especially on DVT / EVT / PVT / mass production schedule.
1.1.3. the team including GDS PM / ME / Sourcing / Manufacturing sites/ customer expectation
1.2. Expert on pricing structure, e.g. competitive tooling cost and unit price
1.3. Manage supplier RFQs of defined commodities and support cost analysis for sourcing team during quotation stages
1.4. Lead on sourcing system and process maintenance and optimization
1.5. Can support quick turn and, prototype, Soft Tooling & batch production capabilities
1.6. Develop the strategic partnership between Celestica, PSLs & potential suppliers to support sourcing activities
1.7. Collaborate & align selected PSL/s to Business’s expectations so as to support product development, where as necessary
1.8. To provide insight to design program should help guiding & leveraging the resources from GCM / GCE for supplier recommendations.
1.9. Get project status / DFX suggestion for cost saving or optimize the manufacturability or quality improvement / information exchange, etc. from sourcing then determine recovery plan if necessary
1.10. Develop a Metrics and System to measure the JDM suppliers’ Performance. Provide comment and input to the GCM and Sourcing teams to adjust and fine tune the Sourcing Strategy as necessary
1.11. Provide guidance in supplier selection / RFI / RFQ / day to day problem solving.

2. Supplier Technology Roadmap Forum facilitation for GDS
2.1. Co-ordinate with GCE- NPI to arrange with PSL/emerging suppliers to review / present their company update / technology roadmap
Knowledge/ Skills/ Competencies:
1. Understand the cost drivers for ME&EE Commodities especially on mechanical such as enclosure, plastic, casting, heat-sink, extrusion etc. Familiar with cost of on-shelf material is a plus.
2. Aware the importance of Time to Market
3. Support GCM provide input for prepare and negotiate the supplier contract for JDM projects
4. Benefit & good to possess commodity management knowledge of:
? New Product Development cycles
? Review related Mechanical / Technical Drawing & Specifications
? Types of Technologies & Commodities experience in Manufacturing, such as Plastics Injections, Metal Stamping, Enclosure, Casting, Extrusion, …etc
? Secondary Operations, e.g. Painting, Pad / Silk-screening, PVD, Plating, etc. It is essential the potential candidate possess wider range of commodities knowledge so as can provide support for sourcing and coordinate related activities.

Typical Experience:
Rich experience within the Manufacturing Industry. Essential to have EMS background so as can co-working with the site teams.
The Candidate should have at least five years working experience, preferably in SCM / CM /Sourcing organizations, essential with sound Negotiation Skills and data analysis capabilities

Typical Education:
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor degree in an engineering or related discipline
