PURPOSE:

To generate delegate and membership sales revenue for the range of LexisNexis conferences and events in Mainland China, mainly Shanghai and Beijing. Also to invite and register qualified delegates to events for free depending of the type of event or conference.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Achieve revenue and free delegate targets through telephone sales pitching.
• Research and build a prospect database owned by the conference department.
• Assist in the on-site conference or event operations when required.
• Achievement of individual conference and event delegate targets.
• Maintenance of a customer database.
• Generation of new international and local leads and prospects.
• Provide regular customer feedback to management.

KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, LinkedIn.

Competencies:

• Highly developed telephone and email skills and etiquette.
• Well trained in sales skills and negotiation.
• An understanding of the conference industry.
• Good oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Strong persuasive ability and tenacity.
• Customer service orientation.
• Possess initiative and team spirit.
• Organized and meticulous.
• Enthusiastic and a positive attitude.

Experience:

Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualifications, ideally in marketing communications, business or similar.
