JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Senior Manager, CI & BBP
Reports to: Operations Director, China
Subordinate: 4
Working location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Director of Operations – General Manager and all support areas timely and sufficient resources aimed to close Gap to benchmark (waste elimination)
- Determine Actionable Gap Closure and Plants actions aimed to achieve both Regional and/or Plant Benchmark
- Lead footprint strategic projects to reduce and/or eliminate Plant’s fixed costs
- R&D Workshops per BU-Region with their CI leads to identify and eliminate waste opportunities which should result in increased Annual and FY CI Savings
- Define and implement China CI savings strategy to ensure accomplishment of financial commitment despite volume or other unexpected issues
- China representation before Global CI council including governance, communication, implementation and evaluation according to AMS maturity model, its 9 key principles and related regional standards - KPIs
- Direct ownership of CI Culture and Value Stream Flow AMS principles by leading standards development and implementation across China Plants
- Lead coordination of Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Culture & Identify Global BBPs and its implementation plan across China’s JV Plants in the form of work stream properly supported by detailed regional standards compatible for all Plant’s Product Lines, Customer requirements and Countries Cultures
- General coordination of China Summits integration Operations Leadership Team to share and discuss on Global – Regional BBPs as well as Standardization and Implementation processes
- Completion of DMAIC – Six Sigma Strategic projects aimed to analyze, improve and eliminate Transactional and Operative Systemic issues resulting in definition and/or update of BOS Standards including Control Methodology and preventative alerts
- Quarterly review of STR and GPAS focus on performance goals and individual development plans for CI related personnel
- Monthly reporting of CI & BBP results in several forums
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, major in Industrial or Mechanical Engineer is preferred
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience, automotive experience is preferred
- Experience planning and executing large capital & strategic projects required
- Seating and/or related manufacturing process leadership experience
- High Analytical and Problem Solving proven skill, including training and certifications completion on Six Sigma, KT and Lean Manufacturing
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese
