Department
As a part of Global Supply Chain Organization, Supply Chain Centre Asia Pacific (SCC-AP), is one of the three Supply Chain Centers located in Shanghai.
SCC-AP is responsible for the sourcing and supply of Mechanical, Controls Equipment and Project Procurement sourcing in the Asia Pacific region for projects all over the world. The SCC-AP team currently has 11 team members, fulfilling all activities necessary to supply Quality products, On Time at the lowest Total Cost level.
As a “linking pin” between SCC-AP and projects team, suppliers and other stakeholders, we created the role of a Project Buyer.
Function
As Project Buyer, you are responsible for procuring third party equipment and service for assigned projects. As a Project Buyer in Supply Chain AP you will support AP region projects (Warehousing, Postal and Airports), and play a key role between the functions like sourcing manager and operational buyer within the supply chain team and the regional project team, perform total project procurement cost analysis, budget control, schedule tracking, delivery, shortage, negotiation, contracting, and also preparing basis to support sourcing manager and project manager for decision during the project execution phase. You will report to the Manager SCC-AP.
Tasks (not limited to)
? Communicate related projects information (volume, timing, work scope, customer special request, etc.) to team, and make decision together with sourcing and project manager for the supplier selection.
? Control the budget related to projects procurement category.
? Negotiate and establish the project procurement contract, conditions, terms, work scope and respsonbilities with suppliers.
? Assessement of suppliers and quotations for commercial & technical sustainability
? Manage RFQ and the deliveriables for material and service on time to fulfill the project execution.
? First practical commerical and project management experience.
? Early involvement on Sales phase, and support project bidding for budget quotation.
- Define, present and implement the Procurement Plan for assigned projects based on a solid analysis of among others the main contract, the needs of the project team and the category/sourcing strategy
- Identify and manage of risk and opportunities
- Select suppliers together with project manager, project leader engineering and category/sourcing managers
- Negotiate terms and conditions, and contract suppliers
- Manage on time and in full delivery per project planning
- Manage project performance of contracted suppliers
Your Profile
? Master or Bachelor degree in Mechanical/electrical/automation or other engineering background.
? Solid sourcing, purchasing, supply chain experience in Western MNC.
? Project based company experience and project management sense is a must
? Excellent English communication and writing skill
? Very good knowledge of contract terms & conditions
? Working independently and highly self motivated
? Reliable, result and very team oriented.
? Strong negotiation, communication, organization, coordination abilities
? Oracle or SAP system experience
