What are my responsibilities?
As a Supplier Development Engineer you will closely work together with our partners both regional and global. Activities will cover the full range of supplier development activities to support the global procurement target.
More specifically, your assignments will cover:
Planning, control, report and improvement of the supplier development, failures or defects prevention, design-to-cost measures, capacity ramp-up, and other activities.
Drive design-to-localization initiatives together with the supplier and internal colleagues, in order to substantially reduce the costs of the end product.
Plan resources, identify gaps, and chase on solutions. Best use and allocate resources, to secure the health of overall supplier development program.
Facilitate and coordinate supplier development or procurement engineering projects together with partnership function colleagues.
Initiate procurement processes and pinpointing approaches to problem-solving, to secure procurement objectives.
Operating or supporting an active supplier management scheme, to obtain the best performance from suppliers, in terms of on-time-delivery, quality effectiveness, etc.
Adaptation and implementation of efficient forms procedures and processes to ensure rationalization potential, and to optimize productivity, taking operational effects into account.

What do I need to qualify for this job?
Product / Technical knowledge of wind turbine industry
Excellent collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to moderate meetings and to deal with intercultural subtleties
Strong understanding of the business processes in a multinational company
Ability to deal confidently with all management levels of suppliers
Language, and communication effectiveness
Skills in MS-Office operations, and able to communicate effectively in documents
Knowledge of SAP or ERP system
