Senior DRAM Design Engineer
Description
As a Senior Design Engineer in DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for using the state of art technology to design and verify mix signal circuitry used in the cutting-edge memory products. In this position
? You will be challenged by the complexity and difficulty of designing and verifying the high density memory chip (up to 8Gb) with huge scale of circuit capability (over 4M transistors), ultra high speed (clock cycle is less than 1ns), complicated functionality (DDR4, LPDDR4), advanced low power and power management technology.
? You will work closely with Micron's various design teams all over the world to contribute to the success of the design.
? You may need to travel to Japan and U.S. in short term for technical communication, project support.
? You will work and support the efforts of groups such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly and Marketing to proactively design products that optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
? Contribute to the development of new DRAM products by assisting with the overall conception, architecture evaluation, circuit design, verification and optimization.
? In charge of designing and verifying new circuitry (digital/analog) used in the Memory product according to design requirements.
? Parasitic modeling and assisting in design validation, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions.
? Oversee and manage the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing
? Perform verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators
? Maintain technical expertise and provide training
? Work with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure proper manufacturability of product
? Proactively seek inputs from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure the design quality
? Drive innovation into the future Memory generation with dynamic work environment
Requirements
? Deep knowledge and understanding of digital and analog circuits
? Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics and layout
? Experience in large scale mix signal circuitry design and verification including logic implementation/verification, timing analysis/optimization
? Experience in memory product design and verification (DRAM, SRAM, NAND, NOR..) would be a plus
? Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
? A self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working with others
? Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design peers in verbal and written form
? Knowledge and experience in Finesim and Hspice
? Knowledge in verilog verification
? Experience with power network analysis
? Experience with low power design and verification
Education (One of the following is required)
? A Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus 10 years of experience.
? A Master in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus 8 years of experience.
? MS Degree is preferred.
