Position Purposes:
The role has the responsibility for supporting new Smart Mobility concepts within Asia Pacific Product Development (AP PD). The Analyst is responsible for managing the workstreams that support mobility projects / experiments and business pilots, consistent with Ford’s brand pillars: Green, Safe and Smart. She/he will lead workstreams which will coordinate Ford internal resources and achieve consensus on project priorities.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Lead relevant workstreams project management for the global ADAS /Autonomous initiatives within the AP region
• Lead the AP project planning for the global ADAS/Autonomous initiatives
• Manage the relationship among the AP PD Smart Mobility team, the AP PD Engineering teams and the global teams
• Lead the relevant workstreams of technical and business feasibility studies and funding proposals
• Support the development of the regional Smart Mobility/Technology Cycle Plans
• Manage selected exploratory initiatives with government, academia, suppliers and business partners
• Drive relevant competitive intelligence gathering and strategy analysis on mobility related items
• Support consolidation / interpretation of consumer and market insight data

 
Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor is minimum requirement. MBA and/or Masters is preferred
• Minimum 5 years post-graduation with preferred 3+ years mobility/ADAS related
• Shanghai permanent base (Induction planned in Nanjing with up to 1 year temporary relocation)
• Excellent project management skills
• Prior experience in managing complex projects with multi-disciplined and virtual teams
• Good knowledge of ADAS and autonomous vehicles
• Good knowledge of automotive and/or mobility related businesses
• Good communication skills to senior internal and external business partners is essential
• High integrity with good attitude and result driven
• Mixture of technology proficiency and business acumen
• Strong analytical skill and ability to organize data for team
• Is highly flexible and has the ability to think strategically, anticipate what’s coming, and translate this into a recommendation on project viability
• A highly motivated self-starter who can take action despite ambiguity and uncertainty
• Ability to work within a very diverse (culturally and functionally) environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset and drive is essential
• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office) incl. data modeling using formulas
• Flexibility for meeting schedules (early morning or late evening) due to the time zone differences with other stakeholders
• International travel may be required (project dependent)
