DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

Labbrand  is looking for an imaginative and reliable Senior Designer based in our  Shanghai headquarters. You’ll be responsible for leading projects independently  from start to finish – taking briefs, developing design concepts through  freehand sketches, executing final designs and working with the production team  to ensure the high design quality.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Excellence:

- Assist to create impactful visual experiences for a wide range of clients, both domestic and international.

- Conceive and develop design ideas and craft brilliant design solutions.

- Team up with other Designers and Sr. Designers to produce the final product.

- Participate in meetings to discuss design direction as well as the client meetings to either take briefs or be involved in presentations.

- Act as project manager for selected projects with the supervision of the director.

- Communicate with clients to better understand their needs and respond efficiently.

- Collaborate both with the design team and other departments for cross-department projects.

Client Engagement:

- Collaborate with Business Department to activate existing clients and develop new clients.

- Support Business Department for account management. Communicate with client, during and after project completion to enhance client loyalty.

- Develop compelling case studies (content/visuals) from completed projects.

REQUESTED COMPETENCIES

General:

- Result and customer oriented

- Collaborative sense

- Cross cultural Sensitivity with proficiency in English as well as Mandarin

Creative Designing specific

- Bachelor degree or above, major in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design or related field is a plus

- At least 5 years’ work experience in branding agency or design agency, mainly experience in packaging design for FMCG international brands. Other expertise is a plus.

- Excellent skill in Adobe cs5, include: illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

- Sensitive to packaging design production that ensures design standards are maintained right down to the smallest piece of back of pack copy.

- Quality acumen with an attention to details

- Skilled at design thinking and highly solution driven

- Ability when required, to think and work independently, to achieve results with minimal supervision
