JOB SUMMARY:

The position is an entry to mid-level role within the Global Strategic Sourcing Team. The position is responsible to support day-to-day entry, implementation of price cost updates, as well as additions in Agile and JDE systems. Provide operational support for sourcing management and perform market and supplier research. Complete project tasks and perform analysis to facilitate the sourcing, procurement, and distribution of materials, parts, equipment and supplies for the supply chain management organization. Performs spend analysis of global commodity spend in order to develop cost savings opportunities. Utilizing a combination of JDE, Congos, Microsoft Excel to gather, manipulate, and present data in a meaningful way

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1/Provide support and assist EM Sourcing team on:

-Cost reduction opportunities and activities through negotiations, RFP, alternate sourcing and supplier consolidation

-Tactical operational issues such as PO, payment, freight and new supplier setup

-Develop cost analysis on feasibility and potential cost savings

-Maintains project logs and reports as required.

-Run system level and ad hoc data entry, query, analysis, and reporting for commodity and new product sourcing team members.

-Serves as the document control focal point for price and cost projects; including interfacing with internal and external customers as required

-Provide administrative support on supplier creation in Agile/JDE/ SAP and contract management

2/Supports EM sourcing by utilizing market indexes to establish baseline pricing analysis in assigned commodities

3/Report data for markets and companies serving these markets in assigned materials, components and technologies

4/Provide operational support for sourcing management. Performs spend analysis of global commodity spend in order to develop cost savings opportunities.

5/Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1/Bachelor’s Degree Required (preferably in Business, Finance or Engineering), Associates coupled with experience accepted in lieu of degree

2/1-2 years of Sourcing or Finance experience preferred

3/Experience in regulated medical device manufacturing or accepted worldwide quality systems preferred
