Job Title:DTV/STB Software Development Manager:

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for leading a software development team on designing and developing ATSC/ DVB stack, GUI/Apps, middleware or low level driver for Smart TV solution and leading task force on resolving system level issues;
The candidate will be working closely with team members, other managers from multiple sites on developing reference DTV platform or common modules of customer products.

Description
1. You will be leading a team composed of senior engineers working directly with end customers to build production digital Smart systems.
2. You will be the communication window between customer support team, baseline or marketing team in Shanghai and Santa Clara;
3. You will be leading a team developing ATSC, GUI, middleware, low lever drivers, boot loader, Linux drivers, multimedia for DTV/STB software systems.
4. You will work with your staff and customer support to ensure that common customer requirements be fully understood and well designed and the deliverables be planned accordingly;
5. You will be engaged in the design of products to meet customer requirements;
6. You will join the development of advanced, cutting edge DTV/STB technologies;
7. You will be expected to travel to customer sites in China/ASIA for understanding customer requirement as well as some international travels to USA for joint development work;
8. You need manage the reference platform development and deliver MP quality common modules;

Qualifications
The candidates meet multiple items as below will be preferred:
1.No less than two years of people management experiences
2.Experienced with leading the reference software, SDK, or SOC driver development for DTV, Connected TV or Smart TV reference software solution;
3.A Bachelor degree or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
4.Good written and oral communications skills in English and Chinese
5.8+ years experience of embedded software programming with C/C++ or Java;
6.Experienced with supporting customers or developing customer products;
7.Direct experience with some of the following:
? Board support drivers (I2C, Ethernet, SATA, USB, SD/MMC, Wifi/BT etc)
? Analog and digital video drivers (MPEG2, MPEG4, Analog video encoder/decoders)
? Analog and digital audio drivers
? MPEG transport layer
? Embedded operating systems (Linux, WinCE, VxWorks, Nucleus etc)
? Set top box middleware environments (PowerTV, OpenTV, MSTV, DirectTV etc)
? Analog/Digital Tuner/Demod performance
? Familiar with development or debugging of TV input/output sources like VGA, HDMI, YPbPr, CVBS, SCART etc
?Picture quality tuning, audio, video post-processing
8.Knowledgeable of digital TV broadcast standards such as ATSC, DVB etc;
9.Knowledgeable of Android based GUI or application development, GTV or Android framework;
10.Experiences in HDTV, STB and MPEG is preferred
11.General knowledge of hardware, ARM-Core CPU architecture is preferred;
