The Company: Rieter, a Swiss-based international industrial company was established in 1795. In China we have a manufacturing location in Changzhou JiangSu province and a commercial office in Shanghai. In Changzhou we have our own Machining, Sheet Metal, Electrics and Assembly manufacturing. The products assembled and produced in Changzhou are being sold successfully to domestic and global markets.

In China, there are more than 1000 highly skilled employees with many kinds of specialties such as Textile Technology, Commercial, design and Manufacturing.


Senior Electronic Engineer


The Role:
Ensure a high quality Service to our customers, covering all technical issues on Rieter Textile Machines with its fully automated products and product lines. It includes, but not limits to, electronic parts and its repair down to the level of components for control prints, modules, PLCs, Inverters a.s.o., configuration of parts, machine troubleshooting, attending service phone calls and support customers, field engineers and spare part department with technical support. The Elo repair service now is one of the most profitable business at Rieter China.


Duties and Responsibilities:
l Provide technical support and solutions to customers. This includes electronic repairs down to the level of components (daily repair jobs), machine diagnostic and identification of problem areas which may result in system failures, all kinds of measurements and also execute trouble shooting on customer machines.
l Review working procedures and workflows on a regular basis and recommend enhancement or automation on such if deemed necessary.
l Manage workflow of repair service such as turnaround time in repairing as well as customer complaints.
l Ensure that repair services are reaching and keeping the European standard.
l Analysing complex system performance and operation data's.
l Manage customer expectations by quick, clear and accurate delivery of pro-active action, information and responses to customer (internal and external).
l Stock management and local parts sourcing
l Travel occasionally and willing to travel on short notice.
l Support the development and growth of the technical Service Centre and promoting preventive maintenance business.
l Manage the day-to-day activities with the electronic service team members to provide high quality service to internal and external customers.


Qualification: The Ideal candidate is likely to have the following competences:
l University degree holder, major in industrial automation/electronics
l Minimum of 5 years experience in technical service.
l Strong analytical skill is required, good knowledge on troubleshooting Know-how of the downstream processes
l Strong knowledge on digital-, analog- and microprocessor techniques
l Flair for mechanics, machine performances and interrelated functions
l Good ability to analyze the fault
l Being able to integrate and drive cross-functional resources to achieve results.
l Strong communication skills in English (writing and speaking)
l Flexible, initiative, detail oriented, logical thinking
l Pro-active, team player, meticulous with ability to work independent and under pressure.
l Has winning attitude and always seeks for improvement.
l Willing to work extra hours to accommodate customer or job requirements.
l Always strive to exceed expectation.
l Good know-how on Microsoft Office, (SAP know-how would be an advantage)
l Customer oriented, Good team spirit, self-motivated
