Responsibility

As a key member of the Brand and Design Service team, you will support the firm in the development of all internal and external design related materials, client deliverables, event collaterals, and communications.
- Design and produce marketing materials including thought leadership, event collateral, talk books, infographics, presentation slides and Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Provide professional and functional presentation graphics support on deliverables, proposals that align with business needs and adhere to KPMG and client’s style and brand
- Manage projects, work with the team members to implement and drive internal initiatives and projects which contribute to an enhanced service offering and promote awareness
- Determine project scope including effective brief taking, negotiating deadlines, and creating and communicating timelines, as well as work of assigned Designers
- Provide technical knowledge and the ability to finalize ongoing projects and manage rapid response requests for design, print and electronic deliverables within the KPMG brand
- Project management and liaising between the designer and clients on the projects. Coordinates with designer, client, and vendor to arrive at detailed decisions regarding the project
- Pursue, share and champion design best practices within the firm
- Manage the design team to maintain the quality of design services and coach the junior staff members
- Responsible for the creation of visual design, mentor and develop team members and colleagues where necessary to up-skill
- Produces visual solutions to the communication needs of clients, using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness.Designers need imaginative flair, awareness of branding identities
- Maintain the marketing materials are brand compliance in the firm, identify and initiate improvements to the design and execution of presentation graphics material
- Provide technical assistance and best practice guidance on branding to KPMG staff in the creation, reports, documents, screen presentations and other materials
- Assisting Brand Identity & Design Manager to deliver brand and design projects, proof read documents for typographical errors and inconsistencies in layout
- Keep up-to-date the branding guideline requirement from the global management team

Task List

- Create concept design for the marketing materials and provide the dummy layout for the clients
- Get a format design brief by face to face meeting/email/phone conversation to more understand the client’s requirement so that can deliver the right solution to the clients
- Assist on all marketing materials related to design/branding materials, such as thought leadership, event materials, proposal and presentation materials, advertisement, e-communication materials and brand identities materials
- Providing branding advice and solutions upon enquiries in the firm, good project management and problem solving skills
- Check and review the marketing materials to ensure these are brand compliance with our global guidelines
- Coordinate the team members to deliver good quality of design services and guide them how to solve the problems
- Work in a lead role, provide supervision and guidance, and assign tasks to the less experienced designers
- Priorities the design job for the designer when meeting with the job queue problems, remain calm under pressure
- Frequent contact and interaction with Clients, vendor’s representatives, so that everyone can get the right message to control and maintain the quality of work
- Keep provide clear guidance to the junior designer to help them improve the skills and develop them manage the simple tasks / projects
- Provide a clear direction and constructive feedback to the designer / vendor and act as leader and make use of the experience to lead them on the right track. Raise the question when meeting with the problems; provide different solution and advice the correct answer for help to solve the problems and make sure all the marketing materials are brand compliance
- Provide the different templates (e.g. proposal, factsheet, presentation) to other departments with simple training and support; imbue the basic knowledge to the internal clients so they have the concept on using our brand identity materials (usage of our logo)
- Closely work with the Brand Identity & Design Manager and help on brand and design projects to the firm
- Raising design issues and concerns to global brand management team and keep checking the “Brand Central” website by weekly
- Shared and exchanged design and technical knowledge to other team members, strong command of written and spoken English

Experience required to perform the role

- Minimum of 3-8 years’ experience in Graphic Design (print, corporate identity) in a corporate environment or at an advertising agency

 Professional qualifications preferred

- Degree in Visual Design, or equivalent qualifications from recognised institutions is required

Technical skills & know-how

- Technical skills in graphic artwork and design production: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, FreeHand and Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat Professional; experience in both print and digital media, HTML is a plus
- Ability to translate brand guidelines into design implementation
- Meticulous and detail-orientated, can take ownership of the work and shares the responsibility of meeting the team’s delivery goals
- Familiar with the corporate environment and working process - able to communicate and manage expectations of all internal stakeholders from partners to peers, and identify and manage vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Ability to manage and lead projects that involve different stakeholders
- Printing knowledge
- Experience in leading video and photo shoot projects
- Well versed in PC and Macintosh
- Basic knowledge of software programs such as Word and PowerPoint, and all design-related software
- Good command of written English and Chinese
- Advanced technical skills in design programs such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Liaise with the external designer, printers and vendor to follow up on production
- Excellent knowledge and application of KPMG’s visual identity, promote awareness of visual identity in the business. Keep up to date with the evolution of KPMG’s brand
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize an often conflicting workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working with staff at all levels, excellent accuracy, attention to details and time management skills
