Deal Desk Manager
The Deal Desk is a results-driven organization that embodies integrity, professionalism, diversity, and innovation in our pursuit of operational excellence, within the Sales Operations group. We take pride in our ability to adapt, accelerate, and consistently exceed expectations in our quest toward sales productivity growth. The Deal Desk seeks to drive Sales Rep Productivity and Retention through operational excellence in operations, people, sales processes, and sales tools. The Deal Desk Manager
is responsible for managing key deals through PTC’s internal processes and aiding in successful deal closure. Specifically, within China, work with sales teams and multiple stakeholders across departments to drive compliant and profitable deals, spot trends and recommend courses of action which refine sales and operational efficiency.
Role & Key Responsibilities:
? Deal Structure and Review
o Work with Sales to understand customer objectives in order to achieve deal structures which are good for PTC and maximize policy compliance.
? Increase move to subscription
? Maintain deal profitability
o Interact with and collect information from sales to assist Deal Desk review processes.
o Organize and lead cross functional Deal Desk reviews.
o Liaise with Asia Deal Desk Lead for advice/approvals on exceptions.
o Liaise with Asia Deal Desk Lead on 3 in Box and Corporate escalations, with necessary documentation
o Document all Deal Review meetings, 3 in Box calls and exceptions
o Become a subject matter expert on PTC business rules and policies
o Support Sales with various inquiries related to a broad spectrum of topics: Subscription, Business Rules, Conversions and all new policies relating to deals.
? Sales Support
o Develop and deliver Quarterly metrics and ad hoc reports to fuel decision making on Business Rules, Exceptions, and Deal Specifics.
o Facilitate local communications on Business Rules, Subscription goals and topics which affect deal structures and related processes.
o Liaise with internal operational teams to ensure effective processing of agreed terms through deal closure.
o Work with Asia Deal Desk Lead to create DD Scorecard which will highlight key DD Metrics
o Work with Field Operations team to analyse forecast, pipeline and timely reports identify key deals which have to be assisted by Deal Desk proactively
? Global Deal Desk Participation
o As a member of Global Deal Desk Team share best practices and knowledge
o Create awareness to local issues and nuances for management awareness
o Help identify and contribute to ideas around gaps in processes
Key Requirements
o Willing to work in within multiple time zones (including outside of standard business hours)
o Comfortable with SFDC, MS Office Excel and other tools
o Chinese and English proficiency are a must.
Academic requirements:
o Business degree in Accounting, Economics, Marketing or Finance
o 10+ years of work experience with 4+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations or Finance.
o Should possess good analytical skills
Soft skills required:
o Good Oral and Written communication skills.
o Demonstrated ability to work with multiple cultures/geographies
o Takes ownership and works proactively to establish processes. Self-starter.
o Able to work independently without supervision
o Team player
o Effective time management skills
o Strong Interpersonal skills
