?As a Senior Material Merchandiser, your main focus will be to secure the supply chain for the Tier-2 suppliers with regard to both sourcing and production, establish method & routine follow up in the team, Motivate, support & educate the team in accordance with company goals/routines.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be kept busy and engaged through a wide range of tasks. Primarily you will need to:
?Have a general overview of the raw material tendency, implementing the Countries’ material strategy according to the global material strategy in the merchandising area
?Work closely with Material Manager and Senior Material Technician to implement SRM Tier 2 and follow up supplier improvement
?Supervise and control the best material price and lead times to be secured, monitor competitor activities/ benchmark prices for materials – fabric/yarn/trims as relevant to the local market
?Secure critical fabric production delivery by coordinating with mills, garment supplier and H&M merchandising team where relevant
?Support the material merchandiser team to be proactive and take more initiative and solve problems, and share them with the rest of the group.
?Make sure that the whole team is working with the same tools and methods, and that material quotation methods and castor routines are followed
?Work closely with Senior Merchandisers & other seniors to secure the best final product
Who will you work with?
In this role you will join a dynamic and energetic team based in Shanghai. You will report to the Material Manager and interact regularly with CAM, business and other countries’ material team, our external suppliers as well as your colleagues based both locally and across the Globe.
